Sadaqa
Voluntary giving, an act of the heart
What is Sadaqa?
Sadaqa is a voluntary gift, offered out of generosity at any time and for any amount. Unlike Zakat, it is neither obligatory nor subject to a threshold: it is a free act of the heart that purifies wealth and brings one closer to those in need.
No fixed amount: give what your heart tells you. Even the smallest gesture counts — a smile, a shared meal, a few dirhams.
Sadaqa during Ramadan
The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people, and even more so during Ramadan. Giving during the holy month — especially to feed a fasting person at iftar — carries an immense reward.
Wassel's role
Wassel does not replace any religious authority. A future external channel may only launch after legal validation and verification of an approved charity in Morocco.
The charity would remain an external beneficiary, never a Wassel partner. Wassel would take no commission on donations.
